Event Information

For the third year, the Vancouver Francophone Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the Palme Bleue Small Business Awards on October 15, 2015, at the University Golf Club in Vancouver.

Hosted during the Small Business Month in Canada, the Palme Bleue Small Business Award recognizes the entrepreneurial excellence and the achievements of our local french speaking SMEs in two categories:
• SME - Business of the Year (3 employees and more).
• Microenterprise &-Self employed business of the Year (less than 3 employees).

Guest speaker: Ms Martine Hébert, Senior Vice-President and National Spokesperson,
Canadian Federation of Independent Business “The top 5 challenges faced by SMB’s and how to overcome them?”

The Gala event is the opportunity to celebrate and showcase the important contributions of the French speaking business community to local communities and the Province of B.C. Last year’s the second edition completely sold out 2 weeks before the event. We welcomed over a 100 people including small business owners from the Greater Vancouver Area, government officials from B.C., Quebec, France, Switzerland and the media.

In the previous years, we have been honored to showcase:
2014 - Mr Pierre Cléroux, Vice-President Research and Chief Economist, Business Bank of Development of Canada as guest speaker and Mr Marc Dalton, MLA, as guest of honor, on behalf of the Honourable Naomi Yamamoto.
2013 - Mr Jean Christophe Fleury, French Consul in Vancouver, as guest speaker and Mr Norm Letnick, MLA, as guest of honor.
