Looking at extending your circle of women professionals? Attend some of these fantastic networking and professional development events and your circle will grow dramatically. You don't have to be a member (for the most part) to attend events with these organizations, but you often save $$$ per event and receive other benefits if you are.

Be Your Own Best Friend (BYOBF) – South Asian women's networking group geared towards women in home-based businesses, in offices, female entrepreneurs, mothers, and those exploring new opportunities.

Downtown Networking Association (DNA) – Bringing young-minded, professional women together to share ideas and evolve personally and professionally.

Minerva Foundation for BC Women – Dedicated to inspiring and empowering motivated women to explore and develop their potential by creating opportunities and offering programs through trusted partnerships in the areas of leadership skills, connectivity and education.

Mom CEO Academy – A new kind of business school for Mom CEO's.  They offer workshops focusing on a business topic that is relevant to business growth.

Pink Tank – Fresh new business group connecting urban woman professionals in Canada. Currently we are based in Vancouver however we are generating interest in other cities and may soon be expanding in your area!

Professional Women's Network – The Professional Women’s Network (PWN) is a Canadian-based non-profit organization, currently with chapters in Vancouver and Calgary and growing globally, focused on assisting business women.

The Connected Woman – a community for women entrepreneurs and business professionals tired of conventional networking pitches, events filled with salespeople trying to sell other salespeople and rooms filled with collectors and no connectors. TCWA is for women who desire to be a part of an organization that is all about the reciprocal process of exchanging knowledge, experience and expertise. We like to call it ‘un-networking'. If you are an initiator, a visionary, an entrepreneur, or someone who has a passion for collaborating with other talented women, we invite you to join us. 

Women’s Executive Network (WXN) – Largest community of influential, powerful and successful women in Canada and Ireland.

Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL) – Inspiring women to develop leadership skills and create positive change in future of women’s leadership.

Women’s Leadership Circle (WLC) – Connecting women with remarkable business, community and political leaders through high-calibre speaker events, exclusive roundtables, hosted WLC tables and more. Exists with the Vancouver Board of Trade.

Women in Biz Network  (WIBN) – While on maternity leave with her second child Leigh Mitchell, Founder of Women in Biz Network decided that she wanted to connect with other women online through the social networking site Twitter in order to feel less alone during the long days at home. It was while on Twitter that she noticed that many self employed women were in fact spending time “networking” online in the pursuit of growing their businesses.

Young Women in Business (YWIB) – The network acts as the central forum to connect ambitious young women from a variety of careers, industries, and backgrounds.

Industry Specific

Association of Women in Finance (AWF) – Dedicated to promoting women in finance-related industries by encouraging their advancement, development and involvement in the business community.

BC Women in Energy Network (BCWEN) – Dedicated to supporting the success of of women engaged in the BC energy sector.

Canadian Construction Women (CCW) – CCW provides members with opportunities for support, mentoring, networking, community involvement, learning and development. CCW acts as a resource about construction and exists to attract and retain women in the industry. We have and are continuing to create, with the active participation and enthusiasm of our members, a vibrant organization that supports women in or wishing to be in the construction industry.

Canadian Women in Communications (CWC) – Raises the profile of women working in the communications field through a number of benefits, services, awards and internships, a national mentoring program, local and national events, professional development, high-profile initiatives like the Women on Boards program and through strong partnerships with government agencies, industry corporations and other associations.

Canadian Women in Technology (CanWIT) – We seek to boost our collaborative networks and partnerships to provide greater support to Women in Tech. Through our national and regional initiatives, we hope to enhance the professional community and encourage mentorship.

Society for Canadian Women in Science & Technology (SCWIST) – Now celebrating 30 years, SCWIST's mission is to promote, encourage and empower women and girls in science, technology and engineering. The Society hosts networking events, educational initiatives and resources throughout the year and is supported by a strong base of mentors.

Vancouver CREW – non-profit association that brings together prominent women in the commercial real estate industry for a series of educational forums and networking events. Vancouver CREW also provides a crucial link to the CREW Network, fostering communication amongst leading real estate professionals across the United States and Canada.

Wired Women – Encouraging women to explore opportunities, build successful careers, and become a driving force in science, technology and new media.

Women in Games Vancouver – a group that is passionate about the games industry. We champion professional development, career growth opportunities, networking, mentoring and education opportunities within the games community in Canada.
