Enter to win TWO tickets to Y.E.S! Vancouver Signature Style Event!

If you aren't familiar with Y.E.S! Vancouver then you should be! I joined Y.E.S! many years ago and have also sat on their marketing team in the past.

Y.E.S! Vancouver offers a fresh approach to networking and fundraising. Connect with like-minded women at their fun, professional and stylish networking events. Stay on the pulse of what’s hot in Vancouver and engage with Y.E.S! members at all levels of their career – all while raising money to support disadvantaged women in our community. Since 2007 Y.E.S! Vancouver’s membership has attracted over 450 women who have raised over $65,000 for Dress for Success (DFS) and provided over 158 women with career attire and access to DFS’s Professional Women’s Group for career development.

The next Y.E.S! event is October 26th at The Room at the Hudson Bay Company. If you're like me, you may have already checked out the space and all the lovely brands they now carrying, including 35 hot designers and high-end brands like Topshop, Jason Wu, Comme des Garcons, Thakoon, Christopher Kane, and Ralph Lauren Black, chic labels that haven’t appeared at the Vancouver Bay before.

Networking in Van is thrilled to give away a pair of tickets to the next Y.E.S! event on October 26th at The Room. The evening will emcee'd by Urban Rush host Fiona Forbes, feature a fashion show and a lot of wonderful opportunities to meet some great ladies in the city. I believe strongly in the power of networking. There is nothing better than sitting in person and having real conversations with people to make lasting impressions, share experiences and brain-storm.

I love supporting local organizations and have in the past helped to fundraise money for DFS.

And of course, who wouldn’t want to add $500 worth of new fashion to your closet!

Although I am well aware of the benefits of networking, I recognize that I could do more of it.

Winning these tickets would be a great start 🙂

There are a million and two benefits to networking. It starts with a handshake and leads to a conversation – the rest is up to you.

As an entrepreneur, networking is one of the most powerful tool to get started. I have not been to a Y.E.S event yet and this one seems like it would be very fun! =)

As a soon to be Marketing graduate this is the kind of event that I would love to attend and expand my network at! Networking is a daunting task for many and this sounds like a ton of fun and a great way to get out there.

I enjoy attending networking events because it’s a great way to meet new people from all different walks of life. It’s a fantastic way to diversify your contacts in the city. Specifically for events organized by Y.E.S Vancouver its great way to show support for like-minded women with similar goals.

I started work with the Women in Leadership Foundation because I was mentored by an amazing woman who started her own business and would not be where I am today without her. Now, I am happier than I can ever be .. so I say, live life, laugh lots, and pay it forward. Let’s network!

Vancouver can be a pretty lonely city if you don’t get out and meet people. That’s why I like to attend networking events, because it gives me a chance to make connections with people I wouldn’t normally come into contact with.

The Y.E.S. event combines the best of all worlds: meeting new people, having fun, and contributing to a worthy cause. Sounds fantastic!

I need to improve my fashion and style, so this sounds like a good event for me. This sounds like a somewhat different type of networking event than I usually attend, and I’m always up for something different!

Networking connects and builds personal relationships. As an entrepreneur and new business owner, finding, connecting and supporting others is what I’m passionate about. I’d love to attend and join the conversation.

Because as a student in the last year of her degree, a public relations intern, and passionate community member, I see the value in connecting with strong women who sometimes know me better than I know myself. I value meeting with the community and giving back to those in need!

I enjoy networking, meeting new people and developing & sharing my skill set. Moreover, as a past beneficiary of the Dressed for Success program I really believe in the work Y.E.S does and this would be a great opportunity for me to thank and connect with those people who support the cause.

I love networking for many reasons, but I have to say that the biggest driver for me is the confidence I get from interacting with so many inspiring people. It’s easy to get bogged down at work. Coming to networking events reminds me that we are all achieving amazing things!

I have always found networking to be more personal, meaningful and powerful than many other forms of marketing. F-2-F interaction is where it’s at for me!
