According to wikipedia, information architecture “is the structural design of shared information environments; the art and science of organizing and labelling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability and find-ability; and an emerging community of practice focused on bringing principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape.” In this workshop we will dive into information architecture and its role in UX design.

Expert:
Shannon Tinkley, Senior UX Designer at Slack. Shannon is a UI/UX designer and have been working in tech for over 5 years. She has had the opportunity to work for product and agency companies, specializing in native mobile experiences. Some of the more familiar apps include Hootsuite, Seamless, Bloomberg, NHL, and most recently Slack with a focus on Android.
