Crucial Conversations - Stephen R Covey
Recommended by: Bradford Hollingsworth, Corporate Partnerships, Nashville Predators
Great read! Same author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Definitely pushed me more and gave me confidence to jump in any conversation.

From Good to Great - Jim Collins
Recommended by: Jessica Robson, Benefits Representative, lululemon athletica
This is one of my favorite business book as its lessons apply practically to not only business development but also to sustainable growth, personal development, focus and goal setting. Mr. Collins takes us on a proverbial spin with concepts like ‘The Bus’ and ‘The Hedgehog Concept’, and introduces Disciplined People, Disciplined Thought and Disciplined Action as the means to focused energy on core concepts to accelerate a ‘good' business to a great one. Apply the concepts to your business, or try sorting out your personal Hedgehog, and revel in focused and intentional action to see how greatness can be achieved!

Jack: Straight From the Gut - Jack Welch
Recommended by: Fred Tang, Senior Manager, Financial Advisory Services, BDO
I liked the book as the author Jack Welch, former Chairman and CEO of General Electric and one of the most famous and successful business and management executives, openly shared not only his successes, but also his failures and vulnerabilities, and how he learned from his mistakes to improve himself and his career. I also respected the fact that the profits he earned from his book were donated to charity.

Linchpin - Seth Godin
Recommended by: Jen Schaeffers, Founder, NetworkinginVan.com
I love Seth Godin. I think he is a genius. I have recommended this book to many and all have liked. This book is all about how y ou make yourself indispensable to an organization, what makes you unique. To quote Seth: “The only way to get what you're worth is to stand out, to exert emotional labor, to be seen as indispensable, and to produce interactions that organizations and people care deeply about.”

Outliers: The Story of Success - Malcolm Gladwell
Recommended by: Marie Hunter, Website & Social Media Coordinator, NetworkinginVan.com
Outliers is definitely a page-turner that is well written and engaging right to the last page. Gladwell helps shed light on what really makes people successful and suggest we examine their environment, such as upbringing and opportunities, that surround them. It helps us understand what really make people successful, outside of ambition and intelligence, by using straightforward examples. Outliers is a must read.

The Thank You Economy - Gary Vaynerchuk
Recommended by: Shannon Richardson, Account Manager, 6S Marketing
Fantastic read about how the internet and social media have created the shift is how businesses are expected to behave. Any business owner or person that has influence over the business owner should read this book. Gary lays it on the line and is brutally honest about what needs to be done to allow your company to stay ahead of the game. Also another great read is his first book Crush It!

The Opposable Mind: How Successful Leaders Win Through Integrative Thinking - Roger L Martin
Recommended by: Marie Bednash, Director of Marketing & Business Development at KMBR Architects Planners Inc.
Integrative thinking - the ability to hold two opposing ideas in one's mind at once and then reach a synthesis that contains elements of both but improves on each.
