Talking Ridesharing with Lyft

Ridesharing is at last on-track to come to British Columbia this year. Join us for this introduction to the road ahead. Our conversation with Lyft will focus on ridesharing's vast social and economic benefits. The conversation will cover how ridesharing and specifically Lyft can improve mobility, reduce impaired driving, expand the reach of public transit, especially during the late night hours, and drive economic opportunities for drivers and local businesses.

Ridesharing's intersection with business will also be less obvious in places: app-based financial transactions, reputational ratings of drivers and services, and efficiency in matching riders with drivers. We will look at what's worked elsewhere, what we should bring to Vancouver, and what we can expect in the first true wave of this important element of the sharing economy.
