Networking in Style at the FWE Garden Party

fwe“It’s not just about networking, it’s about being inspired”, someone said to me at the Forum for Entrepreneurs (FWE) Garden Party. As I looked around the room, I could feel the empowerment and energy bursting at the seams as people mixed and mingled with each other. To add to the ambiance, this party included delicious hors d’oeuvres, refreshing beverages and fantastic selection for their silent auction. The Garden party was held on Tuesday, June 25, located on the rooftop of the Vancouver Art Gallery, providing a spectacular view for all attendees to enjoy. The FWE is a dynamic group of people that really know how to throw a wonderful event.

Founded by Christina Anthony in 2002, this organization is designed to help support and educate women entrepreneurs through various programs and events. The programs provide access to business professionals that offer their knowledge and expertise to help empower individuals to become successful entrepreneurs. For example, the HSBC Mentor Program teams up entrepreneurs with local business professionals to help guide and provide tools for success. Also highly successful is the E-Series, an intensive three-day workshop that immerses participants in discussions with top-notch business leaders and entrepreneurs. It also covers many aspects of business that provide start-ups with the tools to succeed. Other programs include the iCAN Leadership Series, focusing on various areas of leadership through real-world expertise, as well as Wisdom Wednesdays that allows members to ask questions and test ideas with an experienced business professional. These initiatives are designed to support and empower entrepreneurs to help start and grow their business.

Enjoy the view!

The Garden Party was sold out with 300+ people in attendance enjoying the sunshine on the rooftop patio, a perfect location to network in style. The energy was high as people shared ideas and stories while getting to know one another or reconnecting with friends and local business owners. If you missed this event, I would encourage you to attend an FWE event in the future. You will be surprised and delighted by the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that is both encouraging and inspiring.
