The late great Steve Jobs was known just as much for his bully tactics as he was for his brilliance. He was blunt, aggressive and often just plain mean to his staff. He was also a visionary whose perfectionism revolutionized computing and telecommunications. But do you have to be a bully CEO to get results? Jack Welch, the miracle worker of change management who turned GE from a tired, slow moving giant into a fast-acting industry leader certainly proved that you don’t. Is the bully CEO even viable in today’s business environment?

WXN will take a comprehensive look at fear as a motivator, its effectiveness and limitations. We’ll also paint a picture of what bullying looks like in the workplace. Screaming tirades are one thing, but what about micro managing or saying one thing and doing another or taking undue credit? We will give you tips and lessons on how to effectively manage the office bully, as well as the inner bully inside of you. Be part of a networking discussion on your encounters with the office tormentors in your career. Join us as we learn how bullying worked or didn’t work and how we can shape a better way forward.
