Join the Community Foundation of Whistler for the second annual fundraising event for the Kathy Barnett Leadership Endowment Fund featuring guest speaker Faye Wightman, President and CEO of the Vancouver Foundation. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on one-on-one mentor experiences with influential community leaders.

The Kathy Barnett Endowment Fund

The Kathy Barnett Endowment Fund was created in 2008 in memory of Kathy Barnett, a former Whistler resident who co-founded the Pique Newsmagazine, was a founding director of the CFOW, past chair of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, the Whistler Chamber’s Business Person of the Year in 2002, board member of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of British Columbia, and appointee to the BC provincial Ministry of Small Business and Revenue’s roundtable on small business. In these and other roles, Kathy always provided clear leadership and encouraged her friends and colleagues to accept new challenges while giving them the confidence to believe that they would succeed. The endowment fund provides leadership grants to women living the Sea to Sky Corridor who are looking to improve their skills for the betterment of the community.
