VEF is excited to welcome Gretchen Libby, Executive in Charge of Business Development and Global Strategy of Industrial Light & Magic - a division of Lucasfilm, to speak at this special BBQ event. Responsible for some of the most iconic films of our time: Star Wars, Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and the recent record breaking Avengers, LucasFilm have helped to define the modern entertainment landscape and fundamentally changed the way movies are made.
Industrial Light & Magic has set the standard for visual effects and in the process, created some of the most stunning images in the history of film. At the forefront of the digital revolution, ILM continues to break new ground in visual effect with locations in San Francisco and Singapore. Serving the motion picture, commercial production and attraction industries, ILM has created effects for nearly 300 feature films and has played a key role in 10 of the top 15 worldwide box office hits of all time and contributed to half of the top 50.
