About Ann Gibbon
Ann Gibbon runs a Vancouver-based PR and media-relations consulting firm, Ann Gibbon Communications. She shapes communications strategy and generates media coverage for clients of all sizes, from start-ups to publicly traded firms. She knows how to tell a client’s story in a way that resonates with reporters, and she knows who to call in the country’s newsrooms to get coverage of that story.
Ann’s reporting career began at the Montreal Gazette covering the business beat. Ann was a business panelist on Peter Gzowski’s iconic Morningside radio show, and on CBC Radio Vancouver’s Early Edition. She has reported from Europe, Japan and Africa. She also co-authored a best-selling book, Steinberg: the Breakup of a Family Empire (MacMillan, 1990), chronicling the history of the Montreal Steinberg grocery giant. It won the National Business Book Award.
Ann has worked as a senior account manager in Vancouver at the country’s largest PR firm, providing strategic and crisis counsel, issues management, writing services and media relations to a variety of clients.
