Proceeds from Miss Representation Showing to Benefit Minerva

Join us on Thursday January 17th, 2013 at the Sauder School of Business to watch Miss Representation and participate in a thought provoking panel discussion with industry experts including our own Board Member, Bob Elton.  All proceeds will benefit Minerva.

The Sauder School of Business’ Hari B. Varshney Business Career Center in partnership with the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Women’s Leadership Circle, invites you to attend a special screening of the award winning documentary film Miss Representation.

Written and directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Miss Representation exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in North America.  The film challenges the media’s limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.
