Hosted & Supported by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, part of StartUp Canada Tour
On September 21, join 16 trail-blazing women, from Vancouver’s Technology, StartUp & Entrepreneurial communities for a dynamic panel conversation on Innovating Differently: Women, Entrepreneurship and Technology.
What can Canada do to further encourage women to start and grow innovative technology or tech-enabled businesses? What support and resources are necessary to create an arena in which women-founded and led startups flourish?
Four “mini-panels” will explore focus topics, including:
1) Innovating Differently: Why women are critical to innovation, entrepreneurship and technology
2) Launching a Start-Up: Lessons learned from successes and failures
3) The New Economy: How technology is enabling a thriving culture of startups out of the home
4) Financing Start-Ups: Incubating, Accelerating, Funding– What’s working, what’s not, what’s hot.
As part of StartUp Canada’s national tour, this event is open to the community, and warmly invites entrepreneurs, investors, youth, thinkers, doers and want-to-be-doers to join the conversation.
